Crescendo Faculty Concert
Here are some snaps from the Crescendo Faculty Concert:
Domingo Istvan, Reto Reichenbach, and Eugene Alcalay performed a work by Rachmaninov for six hands!
Paolo Paroni, Simone Strohmeier, Gargiulo Gustavo, Stuart Pincombe, and Bill Buchanon playing short works by Monteverdi, Gabrielli, and Cavalli.
Jozef Kolinek (violin) and Reto Reichenbach (piano) playing a sonata by Elsner.
Christian Davidson (bassoon) and Bethany Brooks (piano) performing a sonata by Saint-Saens.
Eugene Alcalay playing Liszt.
Dag Anders Eriksen (violin) and Yee Ree Kim (piano) performing a Grieg sonata.
Andrea Melath and Samuel Toth performing Kodaly songs.
Marcel's lecture
Again, Dr. Marcel Zwitser gave a lecture to Crescendo, this time on Tchaikovsky, a signal choice, since the orchestra will perform the 5th Symphony. The brilliant lecture covered aspects of Tchaikovsky's last years.
Polina Kulikova, fresh from her gold medal performance in a recent piano competition, played two short works for piano by Tchaikovsky.
